The falls are formed by the Pykara River as it cascades down a series of rocky cliffs, creating a mesmerising sight. The crystal-clear water flows down the rocky slope, surrounded by lush greenery and dense forests.
Dainthlen Falls, Meghalaya
Dainthlen Falls is a stunning waterfall situated near the village of Sohra (Cherrapunjee), which is renowned for its abundant rainfall and breathtaking natural beauty. The name Dainthlen is derived from a Khasi legend about a mythical snake, named Dain-Thlen. According to the legend, the snake was known for its malevolence and was eventually killed near the waterfall, giving rise to its name. The best time to visit Dainthlen Falls is during the monsoon season (June to September) when the region receives heavy rainfall.

Dassam Falls, Jharkhand

Reverse Waterfall, Maharashtra
Trek up to Tahuli Peak in Anjaneri near Nashik to see the reverse waterfall. This unique natural phenomenon is created by the strong winds in the area. The Reverse Waterfall occurs during the monsoon season when the winds blow forcefully against the cascading water. The strong gusts of wind here creates an upward force that lifts water droplets, giving the appearance of the waterfall flowing in reverse.
