Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing sexual harassment allegations, in a social media post dared Congress Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election against him.
Brij Bhushan, who represents Kaiserganj parliamentary constituency, accused Priyanka Gandhi and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda of conspiring against him.
“Priyanka Gandhi’s tweet is a conspiracy to mislead the country,” Brij Bhushan said, adding that the law does not consider anyone a criminal based on a police investigation report.
The chargesheet against Brij Bhushan Sharan stated that he is “liable to be prosecuted and punished for offences of sexual harassment, molestation and stalking.”
“It seemed that Priyanka and the Congress do not have faith in the courts and that is why they want a media trial in every case,” he added.
