Health Highway | Health-Tech Startup
Ai Health Highway has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Turbostart. This investment is part of a larger $1.5 million funding round, which includes co-investments from notable investors such as Rainmatter by Zerodha, The Chennai Angels, BITS BioCyTiH Foundation, and other angel investors.
As per the startup, the funding will be used to solidify its presence in India, accelerate international regulatory approvals, and broaden its AI/ML offerings in the cardio-respiratory domain.
Founded in 2018 by Satish Jeevannavar, Ai Health Highway focuses on providing tech-enabled screening tools that aid in the early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improve healthcare accessibility through its AI-enabled stethoscope, AiSteth.
Str8bat | Sportstech Platform
str8bat has raised $3.5 million (about Rs 29.4 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Exfinity Venture Partners, with participation from TRTL, Eternal Capital, and VCats Group, along with existing investors Techstars and SucSEED Indovation Fund.
As per the startup, the funding will be used to boost training and performance tracking for athletes, particularly cricketers.
Co-founded in 2017 by Gagan Daga, Rahul Nagar, and Madhusudan R, str8bat develops sensor-based wearables for cricket. Its product analyzes the stance of the batsman, the type of shot, and movements using an AI engine.
Furnishka | A Furniture Retailer Startup
Furnishka, a furniture retailer founded in 2023 by Ganesh Pawar, has successfully raised Rs 27 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by IndiaQuotient, bringing its total funding to Rs 45 crore.
As per the startup, the funding will be used to enhance product design and development, bolster manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, and expand to new locations.
Furnishka aims to simplify India’s complex home furnishing market by addressing issues such as long delivery times, high costs, and inconsistent service quality. It offers a seamless shopping experience through both online and offline stores in Bengaluru, with over 1,000 SKUs and customizable designs at competitive prices.
Waycool | Agriculture Supply Chain Firm
Waycool, the Chennai-based agriculture supply chain firm, has raised Rs 100 crore (about $12 million) in debt financing from Grand Anicut.
As per the startup, the funding will be used for refinancing its existing borrowings and for working capital.
Founded by Karthik Jayaraman and Sanjay Dasari, Waycool buys fresh produce, including dairy products, from farmers and sells them to retailers and restaurants. It also runs private label brands and handles distribution for fast moving consumer goods or FMCG companies.
Troo Good | A Millet-Based Snack Brand
Troo Good, a millet-based snack brand, has raised Rs 72 crore (approximately $8.6 million) from Oaks Asset Management, with participation from Puro Wellness and V Ocean Investments.
As per the startup, the funding will be used to scale its business further.
Founded in 2018 by Raju Bhupati, Troo Good is a Hyderabad-based company that sells millet-based snacks, including chikkis, protein bars, and nutri bars. The company claims to sell over 2 million millet chikkis and other millet snacks every day.
